There is only ONE way that FASTFINGERS2 will fit on a cartridge WITH preset sounds and preset arpeggios. REDUCING THE NUMBER OF PRE-SET SOUNDS FROM 256 TO 128 WILL ACCOMPLISH THAT. Since MIDI can only address 127 sounds with PROGRAM CHANGE COMMANDS this shouldn't be an issue. Placing the BEST sounds in that bank should make this even better.

FEEDBACK ANYONE?

The C64 FastFingers2 MIDI interface and software are basically FINISHED. I'm just doing a few touchups including instruction manual, and sound tweaking for Velocity. This complete package, (interface and software) will cost $60 US. + shipping

Unfortunately, it looks like I WILL NOT be able to get this program on a cartridge. It is 20k in size and everytime I try and relocate code I have major BUG headaches !! The other option may be an SDCARD version.

I'm expecting to have a finished Fastfingers2 package by the time of the WUC in December. I may or may not have packaging for the circuit board at that time. I may or may not have a cartridge version as well for all of you that hate your 1541s. I'm working on a new instruction manual now. BTW This is the MIDI version with Lightshow, 16X16 sequencer and Basic custom pitch tables. Dan

All is well with FastFingers 2

There are no more limitations with the midi interface.  It tracks the keyboard faithfully and sends those notes to the C64

IT WORKS!

It works !!!! The C64 Fastfingers interface part that is ! It still has the limitation that you MUST release a key (on your midi keyboard) before hitting the next one.
